This week on Columbia Business One-on-One, we talk with Randa Rawlins, the President and CEO of Shelter Insurance Companies. We talk about the latest Customer Service award from J. D. Power, making that five out of the last six years and three years in a row. Randa will retire in 2024, handing over the President duties on January 1st and leaving her CEO role on May 1st, based on company policies that employees must retire at a given age. We also have a conversation about the insurance business in general and some challenges that Shelter has faced in the past year because of an unusually high amount of damage from a variety of storm types in the areas they serve.
