In this episode we’re going to deep dive into the results of a groundbreaking global study into sexual offending against children, which shows a shocking number of Australian men are sexually attracted to children and teens. 

Michael Salter is a Professor of Criminology at the University of New South Wales. He was lead author of this world first study conducted by UNSW and Jesuit Social Services, which surveyed thousands of men across Australia, the UK and the US. It found that one in six Australian men reported having sexual feelings towards children, and the profile of these men, may surprise you - as Michael explains for us on this episode. The research revealed the prevalence and characteristics of men in the Australian community who sexually abuse children. Professor Salter hopes the findings shine a light onto how to prevent adult men from becoming perpetrators of child sexual abuse.
