Xolair approved by FDA to protect against accidental allergen exposure

View descriptionShare

As you know, allergic reactions can be deadly, and for some people it's so bad that they can't even be near the item.

But earlier this year, the FDA approved a drug known as Xolair that can give enough protection against accidental exposure and bring tremendous relief to those in need.

For a closer look at this potentially life changing drug, KCBS Radio anchors Patti Reising and Bret Burkhart were joined by, Dr. Robert Wood, Professor of Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He co-led the study that recently got Xolair green-lighted for food allergies.
