In 1982, the Tylenol murders in Chicago prompted a nationwide scare after seven people were killed by Tylenol capsules spiked with cyanide.
Those cases are still unsolved, but new documents obtained by CBS-2 Chicago found an intense effort by police to identify the killer using advanced DNA technology, and a family who nearly took the poisoned pills finds themselves as a piece of the puzzle.
For more, KCBS Radio's Bret Burkhart and Patti Reising were joined by CBS-2 Chicago investigative reporter Dave Savini, who has been leading the coverage of this story.
