Last week, former President Donald Trump made a controversial appearance at a wreath-laying ceremony held at Arlington National Cemetery. The appearance quickly turned political and resulted in a physical altercation between members of his campaign and a cemetery official.
The incident has drawn the ire of many who consider Arlington to be hallowed ground and a place that should remain separate from politics.

He is also a Marine Corps veteran who served a tour of duty in Vietnam. He wrote an op-ed in today's Chronicle about the incident.
