Time is running out to keep the government funded and avert a shut down, as the House—this week—rejected Speaker Mike Johnson's stopgap measure. 

The $1.6 trillion bill would keep the lights on into March, but also garnered widespread criticism for attaching proof-of-citizenship requirements on voter registration
