As the climate warms and environments start changing, some plants that were once considered native to certain areas are finding it harder to survive.

In order to better understand what kind of climates plant species would 'prefer' to be in, a group of researchers have developed a model to get a better understanding of where the plant life wants to be - not just where it will tolerate.
