Suspending Suspensions For Better Education Outcomes

A bill put forward by State Senator Nancy Skinner of Berkeley, would prohibit schools from suspending students for low-level offenses known as 'willful defiance'.  Its been given the nod by the State Senate, and its already in practice in Oakland, San Francisco and Los Angeles. KCBS Radio's Margie Shafer reports from San Mateo, where educators are finding success with restorative practices.
