Stockpiles of masks, gloves, and other personal protective equipment that was ordered in droves during the pandemic are now collecting cobwebs and reaching expiration dates, as states grapple with more PPE than they know what to do with.
This comes as a deadline to allocate federal COVID money is quickly approaching, and states are deciding how much to spend storing all this equipment.
