TODAY: School lunch is getting a makeover as new nutrition standards have been announced by federal officials, limiting added sugars for the first time.

Officials say the aim is to align school lunch with the existing US dietary guidelines.

For more on this, KCBS Radio news anchors Eric Thomas and Margie Shafer spoke with Dr. Juliana Cohen, nutritionist who is an expert in pediatric nutrition, school-based interventions and nutrition policies at Harvard's Chan School of Public Health.
