Bay Area restaurants prepare for Dreamforce conference

A damning new report has been released today on the emergency response to last year's devastating Maui wildfire, which claimed more than 100 lives and destroyed the historic town of Lahaina.

Despite days of warnings that critical fire weather was on the horizon, investigators say they found, "no evidence" that officials made any preparations.

The community of Walnut Creek is preparing to celebrate a hometown heroine this weekend.

20-year-old wrestler Amit Elor won gold in the Paris Olympics and is set to celebrate her victory tomorrow afternoon at Walnut Creek's Civic Park.

As the youngest wrestler in Team USA history, her impressive journey to the Olympics was anything but easy, and one person who has been with her every step of the way is her older brother, Orry, who is a former Olympic Trials wrestler himself, and has helped Amit with her nutrition and training.

For more on this, KCBS Radio anchors Patti Reising and Bret Burkhart were joined by Orry, who was there in Paris to support his sister during the 2024 Olympics. He's also a PhD candidate in pharmeceutical sciences and pharmacogenomics at UCSF.
