When the new owners of the century-old 4-star theater in San Francisco's Richmond re-opened the theater late last year they knew it would be a risk, and so far, unfortunately, it hasn't paid off. Crowds remaining sparse at movie theaters all over the country since the pandemic hit 3 years ago and smaller independent theaters like the 4-star feeling it the most.
