Here's a high-tech twist on a classic type of entertainment:  "Robots on Ice" is the event to see this weekend.

It's part of a broader and coordinated effort to save Bay Area ice rinks, and at the same time entice kids to embrace STEM learning.

KCBS anchor Matt Bigler spoke about it with Sarah Feldman, co-founder and president of the Silicon Valley Ice Skating Association and chair of Robots on Ice.
