We know microplastics are cropping up in virtually every aspect of life, and now researchers are starting to get a better idea of what the effects of that could be. 

New research looking at about 250 patients found that the presence of microplastics in artery-clogging plaques was associated with a QUADROUPLED risk of heart attack, stroke or death.
