Global stocks are falling and DOW futures dropped nearly 300 points Monday morning after President Trump suddenly enacted new tariffs on $200 billion dollars in Chinese imports Friday.

It's a return to one of the President's most well-worn talking points. KCBS Radio political analyst Marc Sandalow says the President is fundamentally wrong about what tariffs do and how they work - but it may not matter.
