A bill in the Colorado legislature would dedicate about 2 million dollars for a pilot program to use cameras fitted with artificial intelligence technology to better identify when wildfires start and exactly where they could go. Insurance commissioner Ricardo Lara kicked off a weeklong tour of the state in Oakland this morning. 

All week, he's promoting the recent expansion of Medi-Cal health coverage to all residents, regardless of immigration status.

But as KCBS Radio's Raquel Maria Dillon reports, expanding health insurance access might be easier than solving the state's home insurance crisis.
