View descriptionShare

Anyone who knows a teenager or remembers being one knows how complicated and challenging it can be to deal with new emotions such as envy and anxiety.

In Pixar's new film those feelings are exactly what the movie "Inside Out 2" aims to tackle in the sequel to the hit 2015 film. "Inside Out 2" follows 13-year-old Riley as she hits puberty and struggles with all sorts of big new emotions including a lot of anxiety.

For a closer look at what the film can tell us about the complex teen brain and its emotions KCBS Radio's news anchor Liz Saint John spoke with Dacher Keltner, Professor of Psychology at UC Berkeley & author of the new book "Awe: The New Science of Everyday Wonder and How It Can Transform Your Life."
