n a surprise move, Governor Newsom has pulled his own crime bill that was touted just two days ago as a compromise with Democratic leaders. 

KCBS Radio's reporter Holly Quan says, this leaves just one initiative on the November ballot that looks to reinstate tougher penalties for retail theft and fentanyl dealing.
