In the US, cancer deaths have decreased 33% since 1991, but worldwide, 10 million people lost their lives to cancer in 2020 with an increasing number of new diagnoses being seen in people under 50.

Insurance commissioner Ricardo Lara kicked off a weeklong tour of the state in Oakland this morning. 

All week, he's promoting the recent expansion of Medi-Cal health coverage to all residents, regardless of immigration status.
