Governor Newsom is calling on Oakland leaders to loosen their restrictions on police chases. Some have argued that the current policy is handcuffing officers and emboldening criminals.

The Park Fire, now burning more than 164,000 acres across two Northern California counties, is making for unexpected weather systems.

The California Supreme Court has upheld a voter-approved ballot measure that allows gig workers to be classified as independent contractors.  

The gates are finally open at the Santa Clara County fairgrounds for another summer of 4-H events, live music, carnival rides, and of course all kinds of fried treats.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of arson, but the Park Fire's damage has already been done, as thousands of residents are under evacuation orders.
