Heart attacks are becoming more common among young people in America with data showing that during the pandemic people aged 25-34 in California saw the biggest spike in heart attack death rates among any age group.
For more, KCBS Radio's Patti Reising and Bret Burkhart spoke with Dr. Junaid Khab, he's a cardiac surgeon at Sutter Health’s Alta Bates Summit Medical Center in Oakland and is finding that his department is seeing a dramatic influx of patients under 40 who need heart surgeries for serious heart attacks.
