The California State Library Parks Pass began as a pilot program in 2021 as a way to get people into parks who otherwise might not be able to afford it. 

But KCBS Radio's Shannon Golden tells us that program is one of many on the chopping block now that Governor Newsom has unveiled his updated budget plan.
