Persistent fires lead to seed shortage in California

While conducting a satellite tracking project in the Northwestern Atlantic to better understand a certain type of shark species, researchers made a harrowing discovery. 

They found evidence that large sharks may be hunting each other, and even though this isn't the first case of so-called shark cannibalism, it does raise concerns about how widespread this trend is. 

For a better understanding, KCBS Radio anchors Patti Reising and Bret Burkhart were joined by Brooke Anderson, Marine Biologist for the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality.

Sharks are increasingly resorting to cannibalism

We always talk about how the COVID-19 pandemic had a negative impact on the mental health of adolescents, but there's another part of that conversation that's overlooked. 

A new study reveals during the lockdown, the pandemic actually accelerated brain maturation in teenagers at an unusual rate.
