LEGO Increases Access For the Visually Impaired

LEGO recently announced plans to make bricks to help children who are blind or visually impaired learn braille.

KCBS Anchor Jennifer Hodges spoke with Peter Slatin, founder of Slatin Group LLC, a group that provides education and training for working with people with disabilities.

This sensory-based language uses raised letter patterns rather than two-dimensional reading displays. Braille is also declining in popularity around the country.
