President Biden announced today that once Jen Psaki leaves the White House press secretary position on May 13th, her current deputy, Karine Jean-Pierre will be taking her place.

Insurance commissioner Ricardo Lara kicked off a weeklong tour of the state in Oakland this morning. 

All week, he's promoting the recent expansion of Medi-Cal health coverage to all residents, regardless of immigration status.

But as KCBS Radio's Raquel Maria Dillon reports, expanding health insurance access might be easier than solving the state's home insurance crisis.
