As you may have heard on the national news, Joran Van Der Sloot, the chief suspect in Natalee Halloway's 2005 disappearance, has been extradited from Peru where he's serving time for the murder of someone else. He now awaits trial in an Alabama jail.
But he's not being charged with harming Natalee Halloway. Instead, he's facing fraud charges with officials saying he tried to extort Halloway's parents for information about her death.
