How can we preserve the oral history of the last Holocaust survivors?

Americans across the country remember and honor our veterans on Memorial Day. Its a time to reflect on history.  At a time when hate and misinformation is heightened, preserving and the truths of the past becomes even more important, particularly for groups that have suffered persecution for their race, religion or political views in horrific ways.

Museums and libraries around the world are rushing to record and digitize the oral histories of the last generation of Holocaust survivors, the youngest of which are now in their 80s.

For more, Brett Burkhart spoke with Rabbi Batshir Torchio from the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco.
