How can "green banks" affect climate change and affordable housing?

A new national program is putting federal money toward so-called "green banks," thanks to money coming out of the Inflation Reduction Act.

The banks help fund projects that bring clean technology and more affordable energy to low-income communities and now some are aiming to tackle the affordable housing crisis too.

For a closer look at green banks and how they work, Margie Shafer and Eric Thomas spoke with Tarun Gopalakrishnan, Research Fellow at the Climate Policy Lab at Tufts University.
