The World Health Organization set a goal last year to fully vaccinate 70% of the population in every country against COVID-19 by June 2022, but momentum is falling off and they're expected to fall short of that target by the deadline.
Experts are beginning to fear that high COVID-19 vaccination coverage may never be achieved in lower-income countries.
