A new Change.org petition, set up by four UCSF medical doctors, is calling for Governor Newsom as well as every school superintendent and public health officer in California to lift many of the state's COVID safety restrictions. 

With 7,000 signatures and counting, the petition argues that the threat of COVID has downgraded from "pandemic" to "endemic" and that this warrants a change in the state's public health strategy, especially for children and schools.
