Flame retardant foam could accelerate cancer

Flame retardant in your car seems like something you'd want, but new research shows the chemicals used on the seats can be exceedingly dangerous. 

Researchers say that the car seat foam may increase exposure to potentially cancer-causing chemicals, especially once it gets hot outside. 

For more on this, KCBS Radio's Holly Quan is joined by Heather Stapleton, Environmental chemist and exposure scientist at Duke University; she worked on the research.
