Florida grew quickly on the promise of perfect climates in the 1900s – today, it leads the country in climate change risk. Floridians have been slow to acknowledge global warming...but it seems they have woken up to the threat of climate change. Surveys conducted by Florida Atlantic University's Center for Environmental Studies show that 86 to 92 percent of respondents  believe climate is happening. Meanwhile, a recent Yale University survey found just 74 percent of Americans think climate change is happening.
