Fans are excited for professional women's soccer in the Bay

As Haitians continue to face hunger and gang violence, the UN Security Council approves the plan to send a one-year, multi-national force to Haiti, offering a glimmer of hope for the country. 

This non-UN force will be led by Kenya, which is committed to sending one thousand security personnel from other nations to complete this mission at the request of the Haitian government.

UN votes to send a security force to Haiti as they grapple with violence

Before today, no speaker of the House has ever been voted out of office in American history.. but now that's not the case.

In a 216 to 210 vote, Kevin McCarthy now holds the title for the first speaker of the House to be ousted, leaving a crisis in Washington behind.

McCarthy spoke to reporters this afternoon confirming he will not run for speaker after this historic vote.
