Governor Gavin Newsom and state legislators are working on emergency legislation  to allow doctors from Arizona to come to California to provide abortions to their patients.

This follows a move by the Arizona Supreme Court that implemented a law from the 1860s that outlaws abortions in all cases except when the pregnant person's life is in danger.
