People living near East Bay oil refineries and the Port of Oakland are telling the Bay Area Air Quality Management District that the color of their skin and the lower wages they earn should never be factors in the quality of the air that they breathe.

KCBS Radio Reporter Tim Ryan explains it is part of the district's ongoing effort to fight inequality.
