KCBS' Pat Thurston spoke with photographer and documentarian Kirti Bassendine about her exhibition "Contemporary Indigenous Voices of California’s South Coast Range" showing at the de Young Museum in San Francisco now through Jan. 7, 2024. The show includes 17 portraits of members of groups commonly known as the Ohlone and some short films.

A Nov. 4 event will include a panel discussion on rematriation, or the giving of land back to Indigenous people.
