KCBS, in partnership with UCSF Health presents, As Prescribed, a weekly conversation with leading medical experts from UCSF Medical center and UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals. 

The illness once known as fatty liver disease is on the rise among a surprising population -- children -- and is now estimated to be as common as pediatric asthma. A new study out of UCSF shows that one demographic of children is at even higher risk for the disease.
