China brings back samples from the far side of the moon

In what's considered to be a scientific breakthrough, a Chinese spacecraft came back down to earth, carrying the first-ever rock samples from the far side of the moon, putting China ahead in the space race with the US--for now.

To understand more, KCBS Radio anchors Patti Reising and Bret Burkhart were joined by Dr. Scott Hubbard, Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Stanford University & Former NASA Ames Director. He's also author of the award winning book "Exploring Mars: Chronicles from a Decade of Discovery."
