The 22nd Annual Oakland International film festival is kicking off today at the Grand Lake theater, and two films will be shown to the public for the very first time.
The Oakland Film Society has been around since 1996 with a mission to promote independent filmmakers and their stories.
Tonight's festival will have a focus on Asian and Latino Community related films and to hear more on what to expect, KCBS Radio's Patti Reising and Bret Burkhart spoke with David Roach, The Co-Founder and Director of the Oakland Film Society.
