The final state charge against the man charged in the murder of Kate Steinle on a San Francisco pier in the summer of 2015 has been dismissed in a San Francisco court room.

Charges Dismissed For Garcia-Zarate

As we've been reporting on KCBS, authorities shut down Interstate 80 both ways in Fairfield following a high speed chase with a shooting suspect that spanned four Bay Area counties.

Police and the suspect had a standoff on the freeway for two hours, before the incident concluded.

Those who are affected by osteo-arthritis typically have issues with completing seemingly simple tasks like walking or bending down for groceries. 

While the pain is definitely present, doctors are unable to diagnose the chronic condition until it's interfered with everyday activities. 

But researchers from Duke University are learning that the damage in the bones can start up to eight years before an X-ray picks it up. 

For a better understanding, KCBS Radio anchors Bret Burkhart and Patti Reising were joined by Virginia Byers Kraus, Lead author of the study and a professor of medicine at Duke University.
