We all know the Golden state is overdue for a major earthquake., but few people know that one of the worst disasters in California wasn't an earthquake at all, but a flood.
It was the Great Flood of 1862 and it has been an example to better prepare for the future.
But new research out of Southern California reveals there are other unrecorded flood events that occurred within the last 600 years, and the next event could be far greater than previous megastorms thanks to climate change.
