Bipartisan move may name Russia as the fifth 'state sponsor of terrorism'

The United States could soon label Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism, a designation with severe economic and geo-political implications, which currently is only given to four nations: North Korea, Cuba, Syria, and Iran.

The move has been supported on both sides of the aisle and in both chambers of Congress, but now President Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken have to weigh whether or not to go for it.
