COVID levels in California are continuing to rise this summer, peaking higher than last year. The Golden state is 1 of 21-states across the country seeing “very high” coronavirus levels in its wastewater, an indication of the rapid spread of the super-contagious new FLiRT strains.

Bay Area crews are helping to fend off the Park Fire

It's a San Francisco landmark, the 12-story Flood Building, which has towered over the corner of Market and Powell Streets for more than a century.

The iconic building has survived its share of challenges over the years, including 2 earthquakes, economic booms-and-busts, and even a brush with demolition. Now it faces some of its toughest challenges yet, as the city struggles against high vacancy rates and a lawless reputation.

San Francisco's Flood Building faces high vacancy rates

It's a beach find many of us would love to stumble across a mysterious, old-fashioned glass bottle with a handwritten note inside that washed up on the shore in Ocean City, New Jersey earlier this month.

While it's not unheard of to find them, this particular bottle is special, in fact, it could be the oldest message-in-a-bottle ever found.
