New data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show that life expectancy numbers in the US haven't quite recovered from the hit the pandemic had on them.
In 2019, life expectancy at birth stood at 78.8 years. During the pandemic it dropped to 76.7. A difference of two years and still hasn't been fully restored.
