A sugar substitute may be linked to increased risk of heart attacks and strokes

Many people believe if they turn to the low-calorie sugar substitute known as xylitol they are making the healthier choice by picking this alternative over sugar, but recent data says otherwise. 

In a new study.. researchers found a link between xylitol and increased risk of heart attack or even stroke.. leading them to believe there's an association between the two.
