The Jerusalem municipality has spent about 100 million shekels over the last 5 years on building and maintaining religious buildings, but all of the money has been allocated for orthodox synagogues.
The Hiddush NGO for religious freedom and equality claims no funds have been allocated for Christian and Muslim communities or liberal strands of Judaism.
The municipality claims they didn’t receive funding requests from these religious bodies during this period.
KAN's Mark Weiss spoke with Uri Regev , the head of Hiddush.
