Israel is a high tech powerhouse that nations and investors worldwide are eager to tap into. The government is well aware of this and has from early on fostered Israel’s hightech prowess. This week is the opening of a conference in Jerusalem that is attracting top international figures in the bio-meditech scene. It was organized by Israel Advanced Technology Industries, IATI, the umbrella organization of all the high tech and life science industries in Israel. President and CEO of IATI is Karin Mayer Rubenstein. She told KAN that Israel’s strong high tech presence has greatly impacted the country’s economy and society, awarding those participating in it boosted income security and social mobility.
