Jews have long been involved in entertainment and Hollywood. A new book has been launched that traces the family of a Jewish immigrant to Ireland who helped create modern entertainment there. It’s called: “The Outsiders Who Built Irish Entertainment.” Written by Wendy Elliman, it tells the story of Ireland’s leading entertainment entrepreneur, Mr. Show Business, Louis Elliman, and his family. She told reporter Arieh O’Sullivan that Jews were able to break into cinema and entertainment because it was new and didn’t have the barriers older professions had.
