Most commentators  believe the war with Iran will continue for at least a couple of weeks.

A senior Iranian official told Reuters that the new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei "rejected proposals to reduce tensions and cease fire with the U.S.," which were conveyed to Tehran by two mediating countries.

The official claimed that "Khamenei's position regarding revenge against the U.S. and Israel is very hardline. We must defeat them, and they must pay compensation."
