Ideal viewing conditions are expected for the peak of the Perseid meteor shower in Israel August 12-13. The best viewing hours are after midnight, in a dark sky location, making Israel's Negev a popular destination. KAN reporter Naomi Segal heard more from Ira Machefsky, the "Star Man of Mitzpe Ramon," who leads night sky tours out of the desert town.
